We Give Where We Live for Brazos Valley Gives!

Brazos Valley Gives brings the region together as one community raising money and awareness for our local nonprofits during the 18-hour online giving challenge. We inspire people to give generously to nonprofits making our region stronger and creating a thriving community for all. Over the past 6 years, the Community Foundation's Annual Brazos Valley Gives has raised over $6M for participating Brazos Valley nonprofits, including over $284k in sponsorship prizes.

Peacock empowers single mothers and their children by providing Christian support and shelter, enabling a self-sustaining, hope-filled future. We are dedicated to supporting women by offering transitional housing along with essential life-skill training. Our mission is to empower mothers and their children by providing them with stability and the tools to become self-sufficient.

We also offer a 24-month developmental program to non-residential single-moms who have safe and secure housing elsewhere. Moms and children can still be embraced by the love, direction and support of the Peacock Program.

Lastly, we have designed a ministry program called “EMPOWER” for local churches to help local single-moms for a safe and spiritual community.

Our long-term goal is to build a community that can transform the lives of 30 single mother families at a time. Peacock currently has the capacity to serve three families with housing. We are excited to announce that two new duplexes are nearly completed on our private property, Peacock Place! With your donations, this development will more than double our capacity, allowing us to help seven families in 2025.
